Taos Sports Alliance www.taossports.com is a 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to promoting and creating sporting, recreational and entertainment opportunities that improve health and economic outcomes and overall quality-of-life for Taos County residents. TSA believes that access to sports, recreation and entertainment improve quality-of-life in our area by improving health outcomes by reducing instances of diabetes, and obesity in our population, offering alternatives to drug and alcohol abuse and delinquency and increasing the capacity of our youth to develop responsible behaviors demonstrated in sports and outdoor activities. We put on programming in Taos centered around sports, like running, soccer, swimming, cycling, baseball and hiking that engages youth and families to be more active and have fun together! Taos Chinese Boxing Center. Youth Chinese Boxing classes serve youth aged 7‐15; youth 16 and older participate in adult classes. Classes are Monday – Friday in the evening and are divided by skill level with Tuesdays and Wednesdays offering beginner classes. Taos Taekwondo Academy offers lessons for students age 4 and older. Tiny Tigers, age 4 – 6, practice Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4 – 4:30 pm . Students 6 and older are welcome Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 4:30 – 5:15 pm. Families may learn together in the Adult and Family Class at 6:00 pm.
